Pho Lucky - Detroit

Tucked right on 3111 Woodward Ave in Detroit, Pho Lucky - Detroit is one of those places you stumble into once and keep coming back for more. Whether you're craving a warm, comforting bowl of pho or just looking for a chill spot to hang out with friends (or your dog), this casual gem hits the mark.

The vibe? Totally relaxed. It's the kind of spot where you can grab a bite after a game, enjoy the outdoor seating when the weather’s nice, and not worry about a little background buzz. Families love it, groups love it, and even solo diners feel right at home.

But let’s talk food—because that’s the real star here. The House Special Pho is a crowd favorite, brimming with flavor, herbs, and all the good stuff you’d expect from a Vietnamese comfort classic. If you're vegetarian, the Vegetarian Pho is just as satisfying, loaded with fresh ingredients and savory broth. Want to start off light? Their Summer Rolls and Spring Rolls are fresh, crisp, and perfect for sharing (or not). And don’t sleep on the Banh Mi Wrapped—a fun twist on the traditional sandwich, packed with bold flavor in every bite.

There’s something about Pho Lucky that keeps folks coming back. Maybe it’s the warm bowls, maybe it’s the friendly atmosphere, or maybe it’s just knowing you’ve found your new go-to spot in Detroit when you need something hearty, fast, and totally satisfying.

Looking for Vietnamese food that hits the spot without breaking the bank? Pho Lucky - Detroit might just be your next favorite place.

Pho Lucky is easily my go to spot for a nice cozy bowl of pho. They serve all the extra additions on the side so you could add as much or as little of anything that you would like. The staff is super friendly and the broth itself is very light and flavorful with noodles are tender and not overcooked. All around amazing

Came here last night with my fiancé and really enjoyed the food! We ordered the wings appetizer to share and I got the P1 pho as the main order with a Vietnamese iced coffee. The wings were made with fish sauce, so I wasn't sure how much I'd like it, but I actually enjoyed them a lot. The pho was incredible and the broth packed a ton of flavor. We were able to walk in without any reservations and were seated with no wait. This is definitely a great place to go on a cold night for a warm pho! It is right on Woodward close to the LCA, so you may have to search a bit for parking if it's a busy game night.

Good food friendly and quick service. My family loved the Vietnamese sandwich and their pho. I ordered the marinated beef and spring rolls on a bed of vermicelli noodles which was pretty good. Probably would have been better had I eaten the food there, but I opted to order it as take out.

Pho Lucky is one of the few places in Detroit to get decent pho. You get a filling bowl of noodles and meat with your pho. There are other authentic dishes to try from their appetizers and rice plates I think the quality has declined slightly from several years ago. I received more noodles and meat before, but that seems to be a problem at a lot of restaurants with the increase in the cost of food. Please refer to my photos from 2021 compared to 2024 to see the difference. Overall, it's a nice place for lunch in midtown. I like the ambiance and the service is friendly. There is free street parking available if you can find it along the restaurant and around the block.

Ended up finding this gem while attending a concert at the LCA. Located just three blocks from there and nearby parking lots, it was ideal to grab a meal before the concert. Although they have a somewhat limited menu they have several Pho options. The owner (Mr. Hung) was nice enough to come to our table and gave us a few suggestions on what to order. I asked him what was in the Yelp checkin offer (complimentary shot) and he explained it's a house-made concoction that is well received by many. I have to agree. Very tasty. The spring roll appetizer (2 to an order) I recommend. The dipping sauce was outstanding. My grill pork with vermicelli rice entree was excellent. Again, the accompanying sauce added an amazing flavor that really brought this dish together. The service was attentive on a busy evening. I definitely recommend this establishment if you're looking for a great pre-game/ concert place that won't disappoint.
